By using this platform you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Purpose of This Platform
The IMPACT Initiative reporting platform is provided by Dialogue Fiji solely for the purpose of documenting, reporting, and tracking human rights violations in Fiji. It is not a law enforcement portal, legal advice service, or emergency response system. If you are in immediate danger, call 917 (Police) or 911 (Emergency) immediately.
2. Eligibility
This platform may be used by any person, regardless of nationality or residence, who has witnessed or experienced a human rights violation in Fiji, or who is reporting on behalf of another person with their knowledge and consent. You must be at least 18 years of age, or submitting with parental or guardian consent, to use this platform.
3. Accuracy of Reports
You agree to provide information that is, to the best of your knowledge, truthful, accurate, and not misleading. You understand that:
- Knowingly providing false information may constitute an offence under Fiji law
- False reports waste limited resources and may harm the credibility of genuine victims
- Dialogue Fiji reserves the right to reject, close, or flag submissions identified as false or malicious
4. Prohibited Conduct
You must not use this platform to:
- Submit false, fabricated, or deliberately misleading reports
- Harass, defame, or target individuals without genuine basis
- Upload malicious files, scripts, or content intended to disrupt the platform
- Attempt to access other users' submissions or case data
- Automate form submissions or probe the platform for vulnerabilities without written permission
- Use the platform for commercial, political campaigning, or unrelated advocacy purposes
5. Evidence You Upload
By uploading evidence files, you represent that:
- You have the right to share the content (e.g. you took the photo/video, or have permission)
- The files are authentic and have not been materially altered to misrepresent events
- The files do not contain illegal content, including child sexual abuse material
6. Anonymous Submissions
You may submit a report anonymously. In doing so, you acknowledge that Dialogue Fiji staff will not be able to contact you for further information or to provide updates, and that you will need to use your reference number to track progress. Anonymous submissions are treated with the same seriousness as identified submissions.
7. No Legal Advice
Nothing on this platform, including responses from Dialogue Fiji staff, constitutes legal advice. If you require legal assistance, please contact the Legal Aid Commission of Fiji on +679 331 5177 or another qualified legal professional.
8. No Guarantee of Outcome
Submission of a report does not guarantee that Dialogue Fiji will be able to act on it, investigate it, or produce a particular outcome. Dialogue Fiji prioritises submissions according to urgency, available resources, and operational capacity. We will always acknowledge receipt of a report and update its status.
9. Platform Availability
Dialogue Fiji will make reasonable efforts to keep this platform available at all times. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access and accept no liability for losses arising from downtime, technical errors, or data loss caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dialogue Fiji accepts no liability for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this platform. Our total liability, if any, is limited to the re-performance of the service.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Fiji. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Fiji.
